End-user Flashing Tool and Cable
- now with RacingLine PDM App-Connect.
Welcome to PDM from RacingLine.
The Power Delivery Module allows you to access the full RacingLine Performance Software calibration suite for your car from your laptop or mobile device.
Quickly and safely reflash your Engine Control Unit (ECU) and DSG Transmission Control Unit (TCU) anywhere with a wifi/phone connection.
What is PDM?
RacingLine's renowned Performance Software is powering thousands of cars all over the globe. Power Delivery Module is our latest user option to further enhance your Performance Software experience.
PDM is our end-user tool to allow you install the RacingLine calibrations yourself. By purchasing the PDM Tool, you'll get access to exactly the same full Software Suite as your RacingLine Performance Dealer does.
But the difference is that the PDM tool allows you to install, remove, upgrade or change your calibration yourself, any time, any where. And paired with our new PDM App-Connect you can control your tuning choices from your mobile phone/tablet, wherever you are, whenever you want.
Of course the PDM tool is not required to enjoy our Performance Software, and won't be everyone's choice. Our expert network of trusted Software Specialists remains on-hand to supply and install your calibration for you if you prefer.
Why choose
PDM & App-Connect?
Instead of going to your local dealer, PDM gives you the option to take full control of your RacingLine Software.
Install your software, upgrade to the next stage of tuning, vary between fuel octanes and even flash the car back to stock. All from the comfort of your own garage or driveway, at any time.
Even better, by installing the free PDM App-Connect on your phone or tablet you can perform these functions direct from your device.
And, best of all, as all RacingLine Performance Software comes with our Free Upgrades programme, there’s zero cost to switch between any of the calibrations available for your vehicle.
How does PDM work?
RacingLine’s PCM flashing process couldn’t be easier. The beautiful billet PCM Tool plugs securely into the car’s OBD-2 port, using your Windows laptop or tablet to access the full suite of RacingLine Performance Software available for your vehicle.
The system automatically reads your VIN number and ECU type for instant identification. Select which RacingLine Performance Software calibrations is right for your car’s hardware and fuel grade used. Then quickly and easily re-flash your ECU and/or TCU.
And, via PDM App-Connect, you can perform all these same functions from the convenience of your smartphone.
PDM App-Connect
One of the most exciting features of the RacingLine PDM interface is the App-Connect control from your smartphone.
Once you've purchased and installed your PDM system, simply download the free App onto your Apple or Android phone or tablet, and take full control of your tuning from your device, wherever you are at the time (providing you have phone/data coverage).
Your smartphone can now connect wirelessly to the PDM dongle, which is connected via the OBD port.

How to purchase PDM.
To access this flexible world of home flashing, you’ll need to purchase the PDM Flashing Tool and Cable from a RacingLine Authorised Dealer. Now you have the tool, you will then need to buy the Performance Software itself, in the form of a Digital Access Key for your car. Choose ECU, TCU or a bundle deal for both.
Once authorised, the intuitive PDM Install Software will automatically detect your vehicle's ECU and VIN number, and present you with the list of compatible engine ECU and transmission tunes available. Choose your tune, and in a matter of minutes the system will guide you through the process to transform your vehicle’s performance. It couldn’t be simpler.

However, we'd always prefer to use WiFi if available, just as it tends to provide a more stable platform to perform downloads.
-

The PDM App-Connect interface on your device connects wirelessly to your PDM Dongle (which is plugged into the OBD port of your car). Therefore the App on its own cannot connect to your car until you have the PDM kit installed and connected.
-
Q: How long does it take to flash my car?A: The entire process shouldn’t take you any more than an hour. However, it would be wise to allocate plenty of time and not to flash just before you need to use the car, just in case there are any unforeseen issues.

Q: My car may already be tuned, what should I do?A: If you believe your car may already be tuned, we always recommend to first flash the calibration variant listed as “Stock”. This puts the ECU back into its factory format. Then start the flashing process again to select your performance calibration. This will ensure that we are starting with a clean OEM calibration.
-
Q: I identified my ECU/TCU and the OEM+ Portal said “No products are available for this controller”, why?A: This indicates that either the RacingLine Software team have not yet loaded your exact ECU software to the server, or we need to change a setting on your account to make it available to you. Please e-mail oemplus@racingline.com and one of our team will come back to you as soon as possible.
-
Q: I Identified my ECU/TCU, the only option I see is “Factory Update”, what is that?A: Manufacturers regularly update your cars’ software via the dealer network. We may need you to update the software on your car before programming the performance calibrations. You will need to flash the OEM update first, then start the flash process again to flash your performance calibration.
-
Q: What happens if I should encounter a problem whilst flashing?A: The PDM System has been rigorously tested all over the world. So as long as you carefully follow the instructions, we'd never expect problems!
